Fishing in Mallacoota, Victoria

(01).jpg)
First night of fishing for me yielded none, although I caught one big tailor, but couldn't land it. Got a lot of nibbles though. My colleague managed to land 7 tailors (1 big and the rest were babies).
Second night was a different story, I landed 4 flatheads and 1 tailors. All were between 35 to 40cms long.
My colleagure only landed 2 small tilors at the last 15 mins. So you can imagine his frustration when he couldn't get any flatheads
And these were all done without baits, we all used soft plastic lures.
We all did the catch and release.
Looks like I will be investing in a portable car fridge very soon; to fillet and bringing it back home for dinner.

4WD driving to Mount Taylor, Victoria
Driving up to Mt Taylor transmission site has been difficult due to the past 2 rainy days. It made the uphill dirt track slippery and muddy. The wheels had difficulties getting firm traction.
After 10 minutes of trying, we decided to get down and had a closer look at where the tyres has been sitting and sliding on the mud, so we can maneuver the car to a better position.
